Monte-Carlo Evaluation of Digital Filters for Fire Control Systems.

Abstract

Adaptive techniques are investigated for tracking maneuvering targets from noisy measurement of position coordinates. Two types of adpative estimators are considered, a Q-generated estimator and a Residual-Testing estimator. Monte-Carlo simulation is used to compare the performance of these adaptive estimators to that obtained by using several constant-Q filters. (Author)
