Ionospheric Analysis and Ionospheric Modeling

Abstract

A global ionospheric model of the ionosphere was developed which allows for the incorporation of hourly observations of ionospheric parameters. A polar ionospheric model for foF2 was developed which contains corrections to a median model which are characteristic of the polar region. Improvements in ionospheric ray tracing techniques are described including the development of a homing procedure.
