Air Force RPV Operators: Rated vs Non-Rated

Abstract

This thesis deals with one of the most controversial aspects of Air Force remotely piloted vehicle (RPV) development, the qualifications of the operators. Looking ahead into the 1980-90 time frame, this research attempted to examine operator requirements to determine both the feasibility and desirability of using other than rated officers as future RPV operators.
