AN/URC-78(XE-2)/V Radio Set. Total Life Cycle Cost of Ownership Study Report.

Abstract

The report contains the results of a Life Cycle Cost of Ownership (LCCO) analysis, based on the RCA AN/URC-78 design as of 1 January 1974, and an indication of the cost factors and procedures used in the analysis. Total LCCO estimates are presented for the baseline design with nominal deployment and usage factors, and for several different values for specific equipment design, manufacturing, deployment, usage, and support characteristics. Per-unit costs are presented for the elements of the AN/URC-78 system and for the three equipment configurations - Manpack, Vehicular, and Aircraft.
