Three-Dimensional Green's Functions for a Semi-Infinite Elastic Medium.

Abstract

As an aid in the study of certain boundary value problems, the Green's functions are calculated for a homogeneous, isotroptic, elastic half-space. These function's represent the three-dimensional displacements due to time-harmonic point loads applied on the free surface. A brief discussion is presented on the numerical evaluation of the solutions.
