The Application of Artificial Intelligence to Decision Aiding.

Abstract

In a number of ways Artificial Intelligence can be applied to the design of a single data structure which is useful for a group of decision makers, and can be applied to subsequently retrieve data from that structure in a form suitable for a particular decision maker. The goal of a decision aiding system is to extend or augment man's capacity for problem solving and decision making. Possible ways that Artificial Intelligence technology can aid in the various phases of the decision making process are discussed.
