A Numerical Method for Directly Solving Second Order Functional Delay Equations.

Abstract

A method is given for the numerical solution of a second order difference differential equation with constant retardation, 2nd derivative(dx/dt) + f(t,x(t), x(t-r), dx/dt, dx/dt(t-r)) = 0, r > 0, t> 0, which does not require decomposition into a system of first order equations.
