Bibliographic Index to the Plague (1965-1970)

Abstract

The index is a continuation of the bibliography on plague published by the 'Mikrob' Institute in 1968. Presented are literary sources on plague from 1965 through 1970. In contrast to the former one, this index includes not only Soviet but also foreign literature. Several works by Soviet authors not noted in the first edition are also listed. Works dealing with the ecology of the 'carriers' and 'vectors' of plague are given broader attention. The index has its foundations in the scientific library of the 'Mikrob' Institute. Publications of the All-Union Academic Board (Academic Annals, Annals of Periodical Articles), reference journals of the All-Union Scientific-Research Technical Institute and foreign reference journals are included. Except for those works marked with an asterisk, the literature indexed in the bibliography was reviewed in the original. Arrangement of the material is systematic and alphabetical, within limits. The bibliography is accompanied by an index of secondary authors and there is also a list of the sources used.
