Passive Nosetip Technology (PANT) Program. Volume XV. Roughness Induced Transition on Blunt Axisymmetric Bodies - Data Report

Abstract

This data report presents the results of wind tunnel tests to generate heat transfer data which show the effect of surface roughness and model size on boundary layer transition and heating augmentation. The test objectives are defined and the calorimeter models are described. A description of the wind tunnel facility and test matrix is also given. A brief overview of the recorded data is presented and the reduced data, in terms of heat transfer coefficients, are presented.
