Magneto-Optical Memories.

Abstract

Several methods for using an optical beam for writing and reading on magnetic films were studied. Of these the most promising appeared to be the compensation point scheme with GdIG. It was recommended that new materials and scanning systems be developed to produce a practical optical beam memory. (Author)
