Kinetics of Association-Dissociation Reactions and Energy Transfer in Diatomic Molecules.

Abstract

Recombination of atoms into diatomic molecules and dissociation of diatomic molecules was studied over a wide temperature range, using flash photolysis and shock wave techniques. The experimental results were interpreted using classical trajectory calculation method and the agreement between the theory and experiment was found to be good. Additional experiments and calculations, to back-up the above work were performed. (Author)
