Human Factors Analysis of the National Military Command System's Emergency Action Rooms.

Abstract

This report presents the results of a human engineering study and analysis of the National Military Command System/Emergency Action Rooms (NMCS/EAR's). The report discusses limitations and capabilities of man-machine interactive functioning in the time-critical operations of the NMCS/EAR's at the ENMCC, ANMCC and NEACP. Conclusions and recommendations resulting from the human engineering analysis are made for equipment design, equipment layout, environmental characteristics, and operator actions and procedures.
