Method of Moments Applications. Volume IX. Near and Far Field Thin-Wire Coupling.

Abstract

The method of moments formulation for electromagnetic fields analysis is applied to the antenna-to-antenna coupling problem. An easily measured definition of coupling is derived. The analysis technique and the definition are validated by the results of an extensive experimental program. Special approximate formulas suitable for hand calculation are developed for parallel thin-wire dipoles of length less than one-half wavelength, including very small antennas. (Author)
