Localizer Traveling Wave Antenna Fault Detection.

Abstract

A technique was developed to provide fault detection of any or all opens and shorts in the TWA antenna transmission, monitor lines, and antenna elements of the 14 element directional course array and the six element clearance array, in additon, one preproduction system was built, tested and installed at a designated FAA facility.
