Report of the Course Compression Study Area of NCO II.

Abstract

By the elimination of superfluous content and substitution of more efficient training methods, a course compression study was initiated to produce a leader preparation program which could be fully integrated with and accomplished within the eight-week period allocated to the Advanced Individual Training (AIT) program. Areas of work (e.g. mechanical training) are discussed where it might be possible to effect savings in the AIT instructional program in order to introduce additonal instructional periods devoted to leadership training. The development of criterion tests for the compressions courses is also discussed.
