80 K Uncooled 7.25 - 7.75 GHz Parametric Amplifier,

Abstract

The objective of this program (Contract DAAB07-72-C-0069) was to develop an uncooled parametric amplifier operating in the 7.25 to 7.75 GHz frequency band with an instantaneous bandwidth (1 dB) of 0.50 GHz that has a noise temperature of 80 K or less. The amplifier shall have a gain of approximately 30 dB and be suitable for field use in the AN/TSC-54 satellite communications medium terminal.
