Bibliographical Analysis and Critique of the Studies of Sensitivity to Shock Waves of Condensed Secondary Explosives (Bibliographique et Critique des Etudes de Sensibilite a l'Onde de Choc des Explosifs Secondaires Condenses),

Abstract

An analysis is conducted of the many works which have been published on the sensitivity of explosives to shock waves. An attempt is made to bring out the relative influence of various chemical and physical parameters associated with the explosive as well as the need to characterize the impact by pressure and time span. A critical study of the notion of energy threshold concludes the report.
