Abstract

This report was given as a pilot paper in October 1975 before the new group within the Structures and Materials Panel dealing with structural aspects of active controls with the intent that it might aid the group in determining the direction its work should take in the future. As such, it contains a comprehensive and detailed analysis of the comparison between calculations and actual in-flight measurements of the transfer functions of the Concorde supersonic transport aircraft through atmospheric turbulence at differing altitudes and speeds. Numerous graphs and charts are presented.
