Operational Software Concept (Phase Two).

Abstract

The extreme cost and complexity of avionics software is a continuing problem for the Air Force. This report analyzes an integrated design approach utilizing high order language programming, graphical design aids, structured programming, coordinated testing, and modularity techniques to produce reliable, well documented flight programs. The design, implementation, demonstration and testing of actual flight programs are described. The design approach offers great promise for use in the development of future avionics flight programs.
