Diagnostic Model Study of Mixed Layer Depths in the Summer North Pacific,

Abstract

The Kraus-Turner one-dimensional diagnostic model for calculating oceanic mixed layer depths gives realistic results for the entire summer North Pacific provided the effect of dissipation is appropriately included to limit mixed layer depths, particularly in regions where heating is weak. (Author)
