A Modification of TACOS II.5 to Incorporate a New Air Defense System Type.

Abstract

During the Cost and Operational Analysis (COEA) studies in the fall of 1974 it became apparent that the TACOS Model needed modifications which would provide additional detail and accuracy in the simulation of future air defense systems. A fifth TACOS system type was created to implement these modifications. This system is called NEW System. This report discusses the NEW system; also the report includes the FRAG 3I input manual changes, a sample data deck, the propagation model, and a complete description of the target orientation subroutine which the new system requires.
