A Study of a Dielectric Backed Resonant Slot Antenna.

Abstract

This thesis describes a study of a dielectric backed resonant slot antenna, E-field and radiation resistance were calculated and compared with measurements. Special effort was devoted to impedance matching between the transition from the coaxial cable to the slot. The effect of this matching on radiation patterns was discussed and the bandwidth of the antenna measured. (Author)
