Reserve Component Combat Readiness in 192 Hours per Year
Abstract
The basic question is whether Reserve Component units are meeting their interim pre-mobilization training goals, and to determine the inhibiting factors. The research involved reviewing FORSCOM IR's for all Reserve Component infantry battalions and companies in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts; discussions with unit commanders; a unit commanders' opinion survey; and personal observations based on visits to all infantry battalions, brigades, and division headquarters in these states on numerous occasions during the past two years.
