Visual Understanding of Hybrid Circuits via Procedural Models: An Approach to Automatic Inspection of Hybrid Circuits.

Abstract

This report is concerned with the fundamental and practical problems of visual image processing in a real world environment. An understanding of the concepts associated with recognizing a visual image is essential if we are to develop any kind of functional computer visual recognition. Visual recognition is the act of associating a perceived object with a model in one's memory. The association need not be and in fact seldom is an exact match, but it rather depends on the correlation of a set of features and the knowledge of the context in which the image is perceived.
