Health Manpower: California Trends and Policy Issues,

Abstract

Recently Rand undertook a study for the California Health Department aimed at defining major health manpower issues facing the State. Its purpose was to look at trends affecting manpower supply and distribution from the point of view of the state and to raise policy alternatives for consideration by state officials. The report is a brief summary and discussion of some of the major conclusions and recommendations and some recent developments in the health manpower field.
