The Relationship between Termination of Policies and Contract Law,

Abstract

An attempt has been made in this brief treatment to lay out some basic aspects of contract law that may be transferable to the problem area confronted in policy termination. Whenever a policy is sought to be terminated, the benefits must be balanced against the detriments. Thus, people who take advantage of public policy programs may have legal as well as equitable rights that they could seek to protect. This paper has generally outlined positions that might be adopted.
