High Performance Composites and Adhesives for V/Stol Aircraft.

Abstract

An interdisciplinary program has been undertaken to addresss the composite and adhesive materials requirements of V/STOL aircraft. The primary tasks are to develop and characterize high-temperature and high-toughness resins, fabricate graphite-fiber reinforced composites, develop composite failure criteria for design optimization and establish quality control parameters.
