Energy Solutions for Predicting Deformations in Blast-Loaded Structures

Abstract

Equations are developed for predicting permanent deformations of structural elements, based on energy solutions. The equations apply to either impulsive or quasi-static response of simple structures, beams and plates. Some solutions are compared to literature data.
