Fluorination with Lead(IV) Diacetate Difluoride, A Novel and Versatile Reagent.

Abstract

The utility of lead(IV) diacetate difluoride as a fluorinating agent was determined by studying its action on a variety of organic substrates which included several 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds, cyclohexanone, cyclohexanone oxime, selected olefins and oxiranes, and diphenylacetylene. The mechanism by which the reagent operates has also been considered. (Author)
