Characteristics of Tensiometric Method and its Suitability for Determining Humidity of Light Soil (Charakterystyka Metody Tensjometrycznej i jej Przydatnosc w Oznaczaniu Wilgotnosci Gleby Lekkiej (Czesc I)),

Abstract

The investigations on the influence of various environmental factors on the readings of tensiometers of 'Biebrza' type have been carried out in the Department of Soil and Plant Cultivation IUNG at Laskowicz Olawskie. These instruments, due to the influence of the temperature and thermic gradient (under the field conditions) revealed slight diurnal fluctuations of the soil moisture tension but it did not cause an essential errors in the measurements of moisture.
