Intergranular Fracture and Disclination Model of Grain Boundaries.

Abstract

Results of a study of intergranular fracture using the disclination model of grain boundaries are briefly summarized. Included in the investigation were the energy of high angle grain boundaries as a function of the angle of misfit, the porosity of high angle grain boundaries, the mobility of high angle grain boundaries and the mechanical stability of interfaces.
