Analysis of Liquid Rocket Tankage for Model LR58-RM-4 Liquid Propellant .

Abstract

The objective of the program was the assessment of Bullpup missile tankage and component compatibility with IRFNA and MAF-1 propellants, for a period of 10 - 12 years. Tankage material was the 2014-T6 aluminum alloy. Evaluation of the tank and component surfaces disclosed only minor corrosion effects of a general, surface nature. The degree of material degradation which occurred is considered insignificant and would not alter the functional capability of the missile.
