Dynamic Response of Thin Shells to Suddenly Applied Loads.
Abstract
Results of research are described for the following three principal program areas: (1) Buckling and post-buckling analysis of thin shells. (2) Stress-wave focusing effects in partially-transparent solids due to high-intensity, short-time heating by absorption of pulsed radiant energy. (3) Optimization problems for viscoelastic materials. (Author)
