'HITEX', High Technology Experimental Forces Project Concept Briefing

Abstract

New experimental approaches for using low cost and/or high technology systems to restructure U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force tactical units are described. A wide range of experimental force concepts are described for use in the NATO theater, or in related high intensity combat zones such as the Middle East. A separate analysis is also provided of how the management of experimental force concept research can be improved, of suitable criteria to be met for project funding, and of problems in past research approaches.
