Wire Strike Mishap Analysis Report,
Abstract
The report revealed that a high percentage of wire strike mishaps have occurred as a result of low level operations which were not required by the mission or dictated by weather conditions. In addition, the violation of regulations and/or unit SOP's concerning low level flight and the conduct of training in unfamiliar areas were major causes of wire strikes.
