Proceedings of the ARPA/AFML Review of Quantitative NDE.

Abstract

The edited transcripts of the ARPA/AFML Review of Quantitative NDE held on July 15-17, 1975, at the Science Center, Rockwell International, are presented in this document. Several key topics form the core of these presentations and discussions. They include quantitative ultrasonics, adhesives and composites, emissions related to the prediction of failure, and residual stress. In addition a panel discussion is presented related to the role of ultrasonic standards in the emerging quantitative ultrasonics area. It is believed that this document provides a reasonable summary of NDE research and development currently underway in the areas selected for presentation. (Author)
