The Use and Calibration of Distance Measuring Equipment for Precise Mensuration of Dams
Abstract
This report is intended as a practical guide to land surveyors using distance measuring equipment (DME) and making precise measurements of movements in dams and other large structures. The report consists of two parts. First, DME calibration, error sources, atmospheric corrections and correct use.
