New Methods for the Measurement of Relative Ignitability and Ignition Efficiency.

Abstract

A new laboratory method for determining the relative ignitability of artillery and rocket propellants was developed. A new method for judging the relative efficiency of igniter compositions was also developed. Relative ignitability data obtained by the laboratory method was found to correlate well with static firing test results.
