A Model for Predicting Integrated Man-Machine System Reliability. II. Model Validation.

Abstract

Validation and additional sensitivity test of a computer simulation model for predicting integrated system reliability are described. Integrated or total system reliability is considered to be dependent on both operator/maintainer reliability and on equipment reliability. The validation and sensitivity tests are based on the AN/SQS-26 sonar system. Both the sensitivity test data and the validation data are considered to support the model. Operational use of the model for its intended purpose is recommended. (Author)
