Guidelines for Application of Warranties to Air Force Electronic Systems.
Abstract
The guidelines developed in this study include criteria for selection of candidate systems for warranty application, a computer based cost estimating model which permits comparative evaluation of warranty versus organic maintenance costs, warranty evaluation methods, sample warranty provisions, and warranty administration procedures. A case study of the AN/ARN-118 TACAN procurement is presented to illustrate the application of these concepts. (Author)
