Abstract

This report summarizes research progress in the field of proton transfer in chemical reactions in solution discussed at a Faraday Society symposium held at the University of Stirling, Scotland on 8-11 September 1975. At this conference, R. P. Bell, a recognized world leader in the field, was honored on the occasion of his retirement from the University of Stirling and delivered the Spiers Memorial Lecture.
