Management by Objectives Workshop (Student Manual).
Abstract
This manual contains instructional material which enables Army leaders: (1) to acquire the basic concepts and procedures of Management by Objectives (MBO), and (2) to train their immediate subordinates in the use of MBO. A workshop format is used throughout and heads directly to on-the-job application. In general, the materials were prepared to test out the effectiveness of implementing Management by Objectives (MBO) with Army battalions. A companion manual: 'Instructor Manual -- Management by Objectives Workshop' contains simulated problem situations which enable students to practice MBO concepts and procedures as behavioral skills.
