A Class of Network Decomposition Switches.

Abstract

The importance of switching in queueing networks is well documented. In this paper we define a class of switches whose output processes are Markov renewal processes. It is shown that the subclass of switches containing most of the known results on switching outputs requires that the inputs to the switch be a Markov renewal process.
