Repetitively Pulsed Cold Cathode Studies.

Abstract

The objectives of this research effort, to determine the operational characteristics of high repetitive rate cold cathode electron guns and use the data in the conceptual design of an example system, have been achieved. All performance characteristics required for the conceptual device have been demonstrated with an experimental electron gun. This laboratory device is full scale in all of its important dimensions. The data are therefore directly applicable to the conceptual design of an example system.
