Experimental Evaluation of NAS Miramar Hush House (Project P-114). Volume I.

Abstract

This report summarizes the results of an extensive experimental test and evaluation of the new NAS Miramar Hush House. The tests consisted of both aero-thermodynamic and acoustic data acquisition. Four different aircraft (A-4, F-8, F-4, F-14) were run in the facility and acoustic data was obtained on two of the aircraft (F-4, F-14). The results of the full size testing were compared with 1/15th scale model tests results to estimate the reliability of scale model tests for this application. (Author)
