The Use of Transactional Analysis in Project Management Organizations.

Abstract

This thesis reviews the basic structure of bureacracy and the problems inherent in that structure. It explores the Navy Acquisition Organization's bureaucratic framework at the program manager level with emphasis on problem areas between the various elements. A suggested working tool is developed around the transactional analysis technique and game models. This tool is applied to several specific problems experienced by the program manager. From the application, a set of guidelines is defined and summarized.
