Motion Analysis Procedure for Asymmetric Vehicles

Abstract

The report discusses a recently developed procedure for analysis of free-flight motion to determine the aerodynamic coefficients of a vehicle having appreciable aerodynamic and inertia asymmetries. Aerodynamic data obtained by using this procedure in aeroballistic range tests of elliptic cross-section bodies indicate the potential usefulness of the developed procedure.
