Primary Irritation Evaluation Program.

Abstract

AI3-36736-Ga, AI3-36737-GA, AI3-12077-Gb and AI3-33518-bGb, USDA Proprietary compounds, were evaluated on New Zealand White rabbits for their potential to cause skin and eye irritation. The data obtained serves as a basis for making a recommendation concerning their potential use on humans. This recommendation is intended only for guidance in further entomological testing of these compounds. No further testing is planned for candidate repellents AI3-36737-Ga or AI3-33518-bGb because of the topical injury produced. Preliminary toxicity testing is to be continued on the remaining compounds.
