Design Studies of a Motion System for the VTOL Simulation Facility.

Abstract

This report documents the design studies involved in determining the best configuration for a new integrated display and motion system for the Naval Training Equipment Center VTOL Simulation Facility. Four candidate schemes are considered and two are chosen for detailed comparison. The result is the recommendation for a new six-degree-of-freedom suspended from a low-profile foundation structure.
