Simplification of the Control Logic Circuitry Associated with the Small Caliber Arms Modernization Project Load and Assemble.

Abstract

This project is in response to a request, by Frankford Arsenal's Modernization Office, to study the adaptation of hardware logic circuitry to process control of the SCAMP LASM (Small Caliber Arms Modernization Project Load and Assembly Machine). The control circuits necessary to monitor and control LASM functions were designed and constructed, using TTL (Transistor Transistor Logic) components. Preliminary testing showed the logic functions to be operable; however, further validation should be conducted. (Author)
